Hammond to Dawt Mill – Approx. 9-11 hours
This is our longest trip in the latter part of the summer. Sights include Blue Spring (foot path around it is the beginning of the 26 mile Ridge Runner Hiking trail which ends at Noblett Lake), Rainbow Springs (5th largest spring in Mo. with ave. daily flow of 137,000,000 gallons) and the Falls. Excellent water for trout fishing. The shuttle to the Hammond access is just 30 minutes away from Dawt. This access is located within the Mark Twain National Forest. The float back to Dawt is 18 miles. The time to complete this float can be from 9-11 hours depending on the number of fun breaks you take. It is a fun but safe section of the river for experienced floaters, avid canoeing, and kayaking enthusiasts. Don’t forget your fishing pole as this section is part of the Trophy Trout area.
This trip is only offered at 8 a.m. with a 3 boat minimum. No inflatables. Canoes and/or kayaks only. Call for availability.
Auto Shuttles are no longer available.
